Common mistakes do people make before coming to me—or even early in the work with me—that can derail progress.
1. Looking for a quick fix: Some expect a magic answer right away — a step-by-step plan to solve their biggest life questions. My approach takes time and effort. If you’re chasing instant results, you might miss the real growth.
2. Not being honest with themselves: Early on, some sugarcoat their problems or dodge the tough stuff — like admitting fear of failure or a destructive habit. My questions require honesty. Holding back keeps you stuck.
3. Overthinking instead of doing: I give simple, practical tasks — try something bold, notice what’s really happening, trust your gut. Some people analyze instead of acting. Overthinking kills momentum.
4. Expecting a one-size-fits-all answer: My guidance is never generic. It’s tailored. If you come in expecting a standard self-help spiel, you’ll resist the process and slow progress.
5. Skipping the small stuff: The work often begins with small steps — noticing your thoughts on a walk, or a simple act of kindness. They may seem too basic, but skipping them makes it harder to build the bigger changes.
To avoid these pitfalls, show up ready to be honest, take the small steps, and give the process time. My work goes deepest when you lean in and stay with it — especially when it feels uncomfortable. That’s when the real breakthroughs happen.
If something stirred while reading this—good.
That’s not confusion. That’s the edge.
